Mary Hamel is a Principal of WINNING, Incorporated, a sales and leadership development company in Westwood. The expertise she brings to her company is first hand experience as a successful entrepreneur as well as corporate sales experience. With a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from UMASS Amherst, Mary worked as a sales engineer before being asked to join a start-up staffing placement industry as their main sales director. After successfully building her employer’s company to the point where another branch office was going to open, Mary decided to open her own company instead. Eight years later she sold her company to a computer training firm and went back to graduate school to earn an M.A.in Communications at Emerson. A natural at presentations, Mary worked as a television reporter on the weekends and in radio sales  during the weekdays. Over the next ten years, she worked at 3 radio stations as their top revenue producing sales person and freelanced as a producer on television programs which aired nationally on PBS. Mary wanted to combine her love of working with business owners to grow their business with her communications expertise. WINNING, Incorporated is the perfect combination. As experts in helping small to mid-sized businesses become very profitable, Mary’s company helps their clients achieve financial goals which were unfathomable one year earlier through training, consulting and coaching. She says that their success model combining : Behavior Attitude and Techique is key. Her advice is that if you start setting very short term goals that stretch your comfort zone, your attitude will change and you will start to see a marked increase in your sales.
