MINING FOR GOLD: DIG UP MORE BUSINESS THROUGH CUSTOMER CONNECTIONS
Effectively create and package new services based on client feedback
Increase revenues by implementing client suggestions
Prevent lost sales due to potentially poor references
As business owners, we typically find out what our customers are thinking
when it is too late. Frequently, we never know at all. But having this
critical feedback and information offers a huge advantage. More than
a customer satisfaction survey, customer perception interviews can be
the single most important marketing activity a business completes this
year. In this seminar you will learn valuable information about all
aspects of a Client Perception Survey, including the survey process
and follow-up procedures; how to leverage what you learn; why these
surveys are so important; and some tips and ideas for ensuring a successful
Client Perception Survey process. Find out now what your customers think
- you need to know.

Janet LaBerge of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is
up to her usual charitable activity again! She cleaned out a Plympton
basement last month and found 250 brand new piñatas. True
to form, Janet stopped at all the elementary schools in Pembroke to
hand them out to the teachers for them to use for International Day. Sarah
Wolfgang, a reporter from the Pembroke Reporter happened by just as
they were distributing them at Hobomock Elementary School. The photos
made it into the Pembroke Reporter on 8/31 and Janet’s two sons,
Brock and Yeltsin appeared on the front page holding the colorful piñatas.
Free publicity and philanthropy in one day’s work - priceless!
Congrats to all of the members who are doing great things and getting
recognized for it! Submit your good news by the 10th of every month.
Would love to hear from you!

Connections by
Lois Wood

Happy
Fall to everyone! Aren’t the red leaves and purple fall
asters and bright yellow goldenrod and crisp blue skies beautiful?
People have been getting up and thanking lots of other SSWBN members
at luncheons...now I just wish they’d submit them for this
column! I try to remember to take notes at the events, but
get too wrapped up in talking to others at my table to write the many
Connections down!
For example, at the East Bay Grille luncheon, the woman of the day was
Ginny Walker of Embroid-Me Kingston www.embroidme-kingston.com Jim
Della Volpe of Growing Tree Partners www.growingtreepartners.com thanked Ginny for doing a great job on t-shirts and jackets for his skeet
shooting club. Then Cheryl Arlanson Russo of Arlanson Law Offices www.arlansonplan.com thanked
Ginny for creating (I think?) a baby quilt for her niece. Then
I thanked Ginny for saving me, because I needed a last-minute anniversary
present for my husband, and Embroid-Me did a great embroidery patch of
our sailboat on a jacket for Doug! Whew, saved the day!
Other folks HAVE sent me their recent Connections:
Jayne Pelosi of Renaissance Interior Design www.renaissanceinteriordesign.com would
like to thank Janet LaBerge of Dirt Deeds Done Dirt Cheap www.dirtydeedscheap.com for
her HUGE help and HUGE muscles! When Jayne finally sold her house, she
wanted to donate about 15% of its contents to various charities and Janet
was just the person to call. “Janet came by, single-handedly
loaded up her cool new black van and off she went with all sorts of useable
items. She lifted heavy furniture, took bric-a-brac to give to
Council on Aging tag sales; Janet even took some toiletries that I had
collected and gave these to a battered women's shelter. What a
resource! And it felt so good knowing these usable items weren't going
to end up in a landfill. I highly recommend Dirty Deeds!”
Jim Della Volpe would like to acknowledge Lisa Rooney of LBR Direct www.lbrdirect.com for “the
fine work that she is doing for me and a few of our colleagues.” Jim
also thanks Mary McElroy of McElroy Associates www.mcelroyassoc.net for
her help as a “Database wizard!”
Allison Quinn Guido of Almar Building & Remodeling Company www.almarbuilding.com wants
to thank Attorney Patricia Bloom-McDonald of Stoughton “for inviting
us to participate in her Senior Advocate group. The group will
be hosting several Free Aging in Place Seminars this Fall. Information
about these seminars can be found at: almarbuilding.blogspot.com/ .”
Barbara A. Case and Cheryle Brady of RBC Dain Rauscher www.rbcdain.com thank
Pat Masters of The Tax Lady http://www.taxladyea.com for
her steady flow of referrals.
Barry Gordon of Gordon, Mond & Ott, P.C. www.gmo-law.com wants
to thank Paula Killion of The Travel Center www.travelcenter.com. “Not
only did she work her way through frequent flyer miles for my wife and
me (two different plans, and we come and go on the same flight) but
she booked us a terrific trip to Thailand. Paula was very responsive
and listened to our requests and fulfilled them. We'll let you know how
our trip all turned out February, 2007.”
Paula Harris of WH Cornerstone Investments www.whcornerstone.com would
like to thank Susan Hammond of CFO Strategies www.schammond.com for
the tremendous job she did facilitating the recent Board Orientation
for the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra. The kudos continue pouring in!
Paula Harris and Bill Harris, CFP® of WH
Cornerstone Investments would also like to thank Steven
Soby of Soby Electrical Services for the timely
and professional electrical service that he and his team provided during
their recent bathroom renovation. In addition, they would like
to thank Watch All www.watchall.com for
their prompt and professional service for their lawn treatment. “We
got an estimate for services on a Wednesday. Faxed back the agreement
the same day and the very next morning the services were performed before
9:00 a.m. Now that’s service! ”
So, keep on making those Connections, let me know about them… and
remember to take time to enjoy this Autumn season!
