Artist Jill Flynne has signed a licensing contract with MJ International to produce a line of lighthouse themed products. Her artwork is also being represented in the mass market arena by Down East Concepts, Yarmouth, Maine. She will be doing design work for the Potpourri Catalog as well as pastel animal portraits for the "In the Company of Dogs" catalog for the upcoming Christmas season! Finally, closer to home, Jill is team-teaching a very popular class she taught right after 9/11 called "Using Art to Heal" (soon to be "Using Art for Life"), a workshop for people under stress from divorce, money issues, loss, care giving etc. While not art therapy, we teach basic sketch booking techniques to those would like to keep a journal and provide a supportive, safe, and non-judgmental atmosphere for them to express those feelings through words and art. No art talent is needed! Contact Jill (jill@jillflynnedesigns.com) for more info. Paula Harris, co-founder of WH Cornerstone Investments in Duxbury and president of the Board of Directors for the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra served on the Selection Committee for Community Newspaper Company’s "The Best & The Brightest" program. The program celebrates the achievements of individuals between the ages of 16 and 21 who deserved to be honored for their accomplishments in academic achievement, volunteerism, athletic prowess, artistic acumen and/or the pursuit of excellence in another field. Those chosen will appear as a special section insert in CNC newspapers published in 13 South Shore communities in May. Jayne Pelosi of Renaissance Interior Design had her web site "Tip of the Month" reprinted in the spring issue the Journal of the Canadian Society of Dowsers. Her "Tip" was on the powerful effects of Feng Shui, specifically with respect to Jayne’s newly purchased home in Yarmouth Port. For more information, please log on to www.canadiandowsers.org Keep your kudos coming to me by the 20h of each month! Until next month…remember what Confucius said: "If you do what you love, you will never work another day in your life". Jayne M. Pelosi |
