Gretje FergusonWhat are your colleagues up to these days? Here is some news from your fellow members:

Paula Harris of WH Cornerstone Investments (www.whcornerstone.com) has been invited to be an adjunct professor for the spring semester at Curry College. She will be teaching Intro to Experiential Learning in Curry's undergraduate program. Congratulations, Paula!

A selection of Eli Cedrone's paintings were exhibited at Bella's Restaurant in Hingham in January. The show, titled "Two Friends - Two Perspectives," included work by Eli and Dianne Panarelli Miller. You can see some of Eli's paintings at www.theartshow.com/. We've been so pleased to hear about Eli's exhibitions. She is truly making a name for herself.

sswbn logo Connections by Linda Merrill

Linda MerrillLet's not let the winter doldrums get us down! Brighten someone's day by taking a moment to say thanks for referrals, a job well done or support given. The SSWBN is not only a networking group, it's a support group, a sounding board and a place of tremendous mutual admiration!

I'd like to thank Janet Doyle, Professional Bookkeeping Services for a recent client referral; Tiffanie Williams, Tiffanie Williams & Company for referring me to Marlene MacDonald of The Cabinetry in Hanover - a great new resource; & Sherry Alpert, Sherry Alpert Corporate Communications, for getting me both a full page spread in THE PATRIOT LEDGER and a spot on NECN's "New England Dream House" during the holiday season.

Tiffanie Williams, Tiffanie Williams & Company, www.TiffanieWilliamsCo.com, would like to thank the following members for their business this year: Christa Hagearty, Dependable Cleaners; Mary Dawson and Phyllis Rudnick , Century 21 Annex of Quincy and Hanover; Paula Lombardo Colia,Lombardo's Function facility; Steve Collins, Stephco Cleaning; and Laura Stracco and Bettyanne Muir Lang, Interfaith Social Services. I would also like to thank Steve Collins' Stephco Cleaning Company for doing such a great job cleaning my office and home and Paula Killion of the Travel Center for being the world's best travel resource. Special thanks also to Sherry Alpert, Sherry Alpert Corporate Communications, and Cheryle Brady, RBC Dain Rauscher, for their friendship this year. The SSWBN is a wonderful group!

Please feel free to send me, (Linda Merrill at lindamerrill@chameleon-interiors.com) your kudos and thanks at any time you think of them. I collect and edit them as I go and submit to the Network office when due. If you miss one month, they are sure to get in the next. Remember, it's never too late to say thanks!

sswbn logo You Snoozed, We Schmoozed by Judy Siddell

Judy SiddellNo offense to anyone but really, if you weren't at the most recent events, you were definitely missing out. We had some very well attended networking events so read on for the deets.

Holiday Breakfast Extravaganza - November 2005: T This event had an eclectic mix of talented individuals from Julie Foley, The Consultant of Style to Donna Sosnowski of Everything Iris to Jill Flynn of Jill Flynn Designs. We had a great time celebrating together and got some clever gifts that no doubt made us look great when we gave them.

Food and Wine Tasting Event - December 2004: It certainly was the season to celebrate and all were out at this jam- packed event. The food was wonderful, the wine was spectacular and the networking was top notch. I even met Kerry Connolly from Channel 5. She never did do that 20-second commercial I asked her to do on the morning news..do you think I should call her?

Blackfin Lunch - January 2005: Happy New Year to all! The first event of 2005 was a smashing success. Space was as tight at the Blackfin lunch, as my pants after the holidays. We had 67 attendees - clearly there were a lot of new years resolutions to network more! Due to the success of this event, we will be moving to the main dining room at Blackfin. This is definitely a networking event not to be missed in February.

East Bay Grille - January 2005: Ah, yes the East Bay Grille, have you been? If not, you are missing out on quite an experience! The food is fabulous, the room beautiful and this event is a consummate opportunity to foster new relationships. Mark your calendar for next month - we meet on the third Wednesday of the month and we all look forward to seeing you there.
