LUNCHEON SCHEDULE:
Our regionally located luncheon events are developed to give you lots of opportunity to get connected on the South Shore. Enjoy great food, introductions from everyone attending and facilitated networking. Increase your visibility to prospective clients and referral sources by participating in any of our events. All luncheons run from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

NEW LUNCHEON AND LOCATION!
In response to your requests and after studying the demographics of our membership, we are pleased to announce that we will re-institute a 3rd luncheon each month. On the first Monday of each month we will be hosting a Networking luncheon at The Lantana in Randolph. We know that they deliver great services and that you will find the location easily accessible from, Routes 95, 24, 128 and 3. Join us at our kickoff luncheon.

Movin' On Up by Gretje Ferguson

Big news this month! Steve Certa of Watch All Pest Gretje FergusonManagement (http://www.watchall.com/) has been awarded the 2004 Leadership Award from the National Pest Management Association. One of just 10 recipients nationwide, Steve traveled to Hawaii to receive the peer-nominated award a few weeks ago. An article covering the award appeared in the last issue of Pest Control Technology . Gretje Ferguson, Photographer (www.gfergphoto.com/)  and Lori Johnson of Your Best Image (www.yourbestimagepid.com/) were honored to be asked by Steve to provide the photographs, makeup and styling for the article. Congratulations, Steve. You clearly deserve this acclaim.

And talk about Movin' On Up! Paige Stover Hague and the Ictus Companies (www.ictusinitiative.com/) have successfully transplanted themselves from their former digs in the Newton suburbs to a lush new space at the tip of the Boston Harbor. Since the first week of September the boxes have been unpacked and the furniture is now fully delivered (and assembled) at 343 Commercial St. Unit 214, Union Wharf, a spacious new office replete with an ocean view, roof-top deck, and modern conveniences. Sounds fabulous!

And a follow-up to September's column: Paige tells us that Acanthus Publishing, a sister company of Ictus, has now released its first title, leadership guru Stever Robbins' It Takes a Lot More Than Attitude. To Lead a Stellar Organization. The book is the perfect reference for anybody in business, from middle managers to the topmost top dog, who want to provide inspirational leadership.

Paula Harris, the co-owner of WH Cornerstone Investments of Duxbury, was published in the October edition of Women's Business Boston. The article, Complete Your Success With Philanthropy, focuses on creating a charitable giving strategy through donor-advised funds. An important topic!

New Year's Resolution: Linda Merrill

I will make sure to thank SSWBN members for the support they offer to me and my business. Whether it's for a lead, an order, a job well done, or even just an encouraging pat on the back, I will make sure that everyone knows how invaluable the network is and will send in my kudos to Linda Merrill for The Connections Column on a regular basis. (ok, now, repeat as often as needed!)

Getting a jump on my resolutions, I would like to thank Sherry Alpert, Sherry Alpert Public Communications, for coming up with the idea of pitching my holiday decoration projects to the media, and, as a result, for the huge feature story that ran in The Patriot Ledger just this weekend. The perfect intersection of inspiration and timing!
